Fiction Writing

I write fantasy novels set in secondary worlds, generally featuring queer characters. I adore all aspects of worldbuilding and am totally one of those people who has to stop themselves from developing a language for every culture they write about. I’ve also been to a lot of places for geologic work, from Antarctica to Greenland, and those landscapes often worm their way into my writing.

Project Salt Woven is an adult, second-world fantasy featuring a reimagining of selkie folklore. I began writing Salt Woven in late September 2024, and am currently revising it to query.

My writing group—Autumn, Dilara, and Kara—has been invaluable in revisions!

Project Strands is another adult, second-world fantasy … also with a mainly marine setting. What can I say, I miss water out here in Arizona.

I began outlining Project Strands in August 2025 and am still in the very early stages of writing.
